Harris on the world stage
Kamala Harris is unfit to handle American politics, let alone have a significant role in international relations. She had poor body language and regularly becomes passive aggressive when put into uncomfortable situations. Her recent debate performance against Vice President Mike Pence and her behavior at Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation hearing affirms these contentions. It is difficult to imagine Harris dealing with world leaders such as Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Angela Merkel with her level of immaturity.
One of the key roles a President plays is that of Chief Diplomat. As Chief Diplomat, the President is entrusted with negotiating treaties with foreign governments and appointing ambassadors on behalf of the American people. Kamala Harris is unfit to be Chief Diplomat.
Kamala Harris cannot handle adversity nor can she handle uncomfortable situations. Her recent debate performance against Vice President Mike Pence and her behavior at Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation hearing was a testimony to her poor body language and passive aggressive behavior when placed into such situations.
In the 2020 Vice Presidential Debate, Kamala Harris exemplified her poor body language.
This is not the body language of someone who can be entrusted with the responsibility that comes with being Chief Diplomat. Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Angela Merkel will not tolerate being treated with disrespect the way Pence was. God Bless the Vice President and his ability to remain cool and collected, but other world leaders will not show the same restraint. Putin, Jinping, and Merkel will not stand for this kind of body language. These are leaders that respect power and powerful leaders do not make faces like this.
There was also a moment during the Vice Presidential debate in which Kamala cut off Pence when the Vice President tried to defend himself. Kamala said, “Mr. Vice President I’m speaking, I’m speaking.” This was an example of Kamala’s passive aggressive behavior when she is placed in uncomfortable situations. Just a week later, at Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation hearing, Kamala displayed the same type of behavior during an exchange with Barrett over Obamacare. While Barrett was trying to answer one of Kamala’s questions, Kamala cut off Barrett and said, “Let me finish if you don’t mind” in the middle of Barrett’s response. Being passive aggressive is not an effective approach to international politics. Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Angela Merkel will not let the former California prosecutor “finish.” Passive aggressiveness comes from a place of weakness and will not work in negotiating with foreign governments.
While many Democrats may have enjoyed Kamala’s antics, there are no points for “slaying it” in international relations. This is not Twitter and this is not a joke. Kamala is immature and she will not be tolerated on the world stage. Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Angela Merkel, and the rest of the international community will lose all the respect that President Donald Trump has been fighting to restore over the past 4 years. Poor body language and passive aggressiveness does not earn points in international relations. Restraint and respect does, and it is clear that Kamala does not possess these traits. She should not be trusted to negotiate with foreign nations nor should be trusted to execute good judgment in appointing ambassadors on behalf of the United States.
